We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading the power of creative storytelling in urban and rural spaces. Our mission is to empower individuals to share inspiring stories that spark imagination, build connections, and challenge dominant narratives.
Through inclusive workshops for all ages and families, we foster diverse voices, bridge cultural gaps, and enhance emotional well-being. We aim to nurture vibrant communities and enrich individual experiences through storytelling, both locally in Greece and internationally.
Our vision is to create a world where stories are not limited by social conventions or prejudices. Break Through the Box means breaking the boundaries of traditional narrative frameworks and creating new ways to connect. Just like a bonsai growing in a small space, but with proper care, evolving into something stronger and more meaningful, we believe that every story, with time and support, can break boundaries and change the world.
Through storytelling, we empower voices that are often overlooked and invite everyone to participate in the collective narrative, to create and share their stories without limitations. We empower creativity, self-esteem, and connection with the world around us.
Zoi Diakoumogiannopoulou | Creative Storytelling
Zoi designing, implements and evaluates socio-educational workshops, combining techniques from traditional oral storytelling, embodiment and mindfulness. As a yoga teacher holding a master in education and culture and certificates in contemporary social subjects, she feels a commitment to personal growth and holistic approaches. Actively engaged in EU projects while freelancing for international NGOs, connects her deep need for understanding the multidynamics of interdisciplinary arts to international contexts. She often feels like Alice In Wonderland going in and out of the mirror sharing her on-going discoveries with the world. Once she may heard the Mad Hatter wondering "A dream is not reality, but who’s to say which is which?"
Zoi Davari | Creative Narration
Zoi has been working as a non-formal educator since 2015. She has travelled around Greece with a mobile library, sharing stories with children in squares, parks, museums and schools. She has designed and implemented numerous workshops of storytelling and creative writing for children, and has collaborated with numerous publishing houses. In 2020 she created a small book festival which travelled to various cities, villages and islands around Greece. She is a certified forest school educator. During her years of hands-on working experience, she understood how children learn better through observation, data collecting and experiences sharing. She often follows the advice of Evgenios Trivizas to never tickle a gorilla!
